"I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles."  Audrey Hepburn

Ah.. and then there is pink. The color of love and romance. Hot pink is an especially hot color right now!

So .. psychologically hot pink has a similar effect to the color red which is sensual and passionate but without being so aggressive. Physically hot pink has been proven to stimulate energy and actually increase blood pressure! Interestingly, lighter pinks have the opposite effect and have been proven to be very calming. Did you know there is even a special shade of pink that is sometimes used in prisons to calm inmates? Hard to imagine a pink prison! Also, sports teams have been known to paint the opposing teams locker rooms pink in hopes it will make them more passive. Even though.. it has actually been shown to make them more agitated. Hmmm.. perhaps because of the strong female association...? I guess they must not know that in Japan pink is actually thought to be a masculine color due to the fact that the annual cherry tree blossoming is representative of of young Japanese warriors fallen in battle.

On any note, enjoy our beautiful pink round up! :-)
